I wanted to address a couple of flames I received recently via email regarding my failure to provide sufficiently advanced notice of upcoming events. I apologize for posting links for webcasts the day of the event and will strive to do better.
Pursuant to that resolution, please be advised that I will be delivering a talk online, the 4th installment of the popular Storage Virtualization for Rock Stars series two weeks from tomorrow: Tuesday August 23. I want to welcome everyone to participate.
Here is the formal invitation:
Join us for Part 4 of the Storage Virtualization for Rock Stars Webcast Series: “The Data Protection Imperative: How to Keep Rockin’ and Not Lose Your Assets”
The webcast series that offers a “curriculum” covering storage virtualization continues this month as we turn to data protection and business continuity. The webcast is titled The Data Protection Imperative: How to Keep Rockin’ and Not Lose Your Assets. Register Now!
The data protection imperative requires a reexamination of how well we are protecting irreplaceable data assets and what we could be doing to deliver defense in-depth to protect against the broadest spectrum of interruption events.
Part 4 of the “Storage Virtualization for Rock Stars Webcast Series” runs from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM EDT on Tuesday, August 23. I will proudly be serving as host and moderator of this live web cast.

These events have been running all Summer about every three or four weeks. In addition to the talk, you get a white paper that can be added to the other papers to create a Storage Virtualization for Rock Stars book (better than one of those for Dummies books!) Hope to see some of you there as we talk about one of my favorite subjects: data protection and business continuity.
Cheers.
