Great turnout, many familiar faces, nice feedback. All in all, I enjoyed it immensely. I also learned a few things myself — from users, from fellow speakers and from exhibitors.
We premiered a new workshop on day 1 that exceeded all expectations in terms of participation. Plus we debuted a new keynote and video that was well received, localizing the origin of the data deluge either (depending on your sensibilities) in human genetics and evolution, or “creationist theory.”
I can’t post the video here for two reasons. First, it contained some snippets from copyrighted sources. Second, because I don’t want to steal the thunder from upcoming editions of Storage Decisions in New York and San Francisco later this year.
Maybe after that we can re-edit, replace the copyright material, and post the video here. For now though, your best chance to see the vid will be to sign up for Storage Decisions in one of the upcoming venues.
Shout out to the TechTarget krewe: you outdid yourselves. Thanks for inviting me to participate.
